My Friend Christopher joins Telling Tales for a musical French-language presentation on May 25th at Gage Park, in partnership with EarlyOn. Among the stories will be featured, Un millions de questions by Marie-Louise Gay. Both My Friend Christopher and Marie-Louise Gay will be presenting at this year’s Telling Tales festival.
Committed to roots music and thoughtful songcraft, My Friend Christopher explores the joys and challenges of family life from different perspectives. New Orleans piano, acoustic guitar rags and early jazz horns set up the stories he sings about, to, and with his family in his friendliest dad voice. In 2022, MFC performed Ontario festival stages, street festivals, markets and community fundraisers in Hamilton and had his FACTOR-funded second album Tuba Blues recognised as a High Five album of the week on Kinderling Kids Radio and nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Children’s Album.
