Title: Volunteer Coordination Assistant

Job Type: Employee Contract

Duration: 35 hrs/wk over 17 weeks

Start Date: June 22 – October 9, 2026

Location: Home-based with occasional/weekly meetings in the Hamilton/Burlington area. In-person attendance at events in Hamilton/Burlington is required. Onsite for the duration of the set up, Festival, and tear down, between October 1-4, 2026.

Job Description

Reporting to the Community Programming & Volunteer Coordinator, the Telling Tales Volunteer  Coordination Assistant will support the Telling Tales team at the Telling Tales Festival this October at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, Ontario. They will help build volunteer outreach campaigns, strengthening ties to the local community and encouraging participation in the Telling Tales Festival. The Volunteer Coordination Assistant will support the Community Programming & Volunteer Coordinator in organizing, directing, and training volunteers in the lead up to the festival and during festival weekend.
