Meet Hamilton-local author, Duane Murray, and Toronto-based illustrator, Shawn Daley. Aided by visuals from their graphic novel Better Place, co-creators Duane and Shawn will take us through the process of collaboration between writer and artist when creating a visual story together. From idea to character design, to story, to script all the way to the layout, pencilling, inking and colouring of a finished page.
Moderated by Kevin Sylvester. Kevin Sylvester writes and illustrates everything from picture books to murder mysteries and science fiction to books on sports and financial literacy. A Telling Tales fan-favourite, Kevin will be on board to field your questions for all of our lovely creators and maybe ask a few of his own!
