Join Wendy J. Whittingham for a 15-minute drop-in storytime in the Read Together Tent. Wendy will read from her latest picture book, The Last Last. Inspired by Wendy’s own life story of growing up in Jamaica before immigrating to Canada as a young child, this story follows a young girl on a similar journey. On the last day before her family leaves for Canada, our protagonist chews one last sugar cane stalk and inhales the sweet smell of roast corn one last time. She takes one last walk to the beach and paddles in the ocean. Can this really be the last time she will see her home?
