Pete Ewins & Anna Broks

Pete & Anna are experienced musicians and have been playing music together since 2016 in various Toronto bands and gigs in a wide range of settings.   Over the past 6 years year they’ve combined their passion for music and writing songs with their backgrounds in education, acting and wildlife conservation to develop and play inspiring shows for kids in the 2-10 year olds range, via Pete & Anna Music for Kids.

They perform their blend of originals and popular cover songs at many diverse venues around southern Ontario, including street & seasonal festivals, schools, cafes, farmers’ markets, private birthday parties and other events.  Performances always incorporate audience participation and fun themes, drawing especially on Anna’s background in theatre and teaching experience with young kids.

Pete is a wildlife conservation expert, with a doctorate from Oxford University on seabirds in relation to oil pollution, and practical field experience on many conservation projects in different countries.  For many years he was the wildlife conservation lead for WWF in Canada, and has given numerous public presentations in schools, public venues and to the media, and also formed ‘PandaBand’.

Anna has a Fine Arts degree in acting from the University of Windsor.  She has performed with many theatre companies in Ontario, including ‘The Really Little Theatre Company’ (Thom Currie), and Globus Theatre at the Lakeview Arts Barn in Bobcaygeon.  Throughout her childhood  she studied classical voice at the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music and won a silver medal there for speech art and drama.
