Amsa Yaro

Amsa Yaro is a former journalist turned Mixed Media artist who uses materials like paper to create original works inspired by her Nigerian background, culture and life.

Yaro has been a part of several events which include Simple Reflections, 2023-24, London’s Artist Studio Tour 2024, Unity Project’s UpwithArt Auction, as well as London Arts Live artist with London Art Council to mention a few.

Yaro has been involved in a few public art projects which include the BIA Argyle Ribbon in 2024, ‘Yetunde’, at the corner of William and York, as part of the LAC’s Traffic Signal Wrap Public Art as well as a collaborative piece under OEV Mural Art Project on 632 Dundas Street, London, Ont and Covent Garden Market.

As an art teacher, she covers a wide variety of classes which include Plasticine Relief sculpting, Paper Mache Sculptures, Paper Collage Art, Watercolor Batik Art and more with the London Art Council as well as the London Public Library.
